Here is the information about what is needed for a module/component for VirtueMart Version 1.5 using Joomla 1.5. We are using a PDF library and creating Gift Certificates currently however, the code is simply “hacked” in the core files, we do not use the system below.
If you go to our current store, you can see how this looks from the customers perspective.

VirtueMart Gift Certificate Module
I think this would work better as a Module that can be installable through VirtueMart (not Joomla). However if this really should be a Component I do not think it will matter. I am not experienced enough to know what is best.
The idea is to add a section below the current Product Status Page that allows us to create some Gift Certificate options.
Those options would include the ability to upload the PDF that can be modified based on the parameters in the custom attribute list. Those custom attributes will match up with the corresponding field name(s) created in the PDF. (How that works is described elsewhere)
Then we need the option of upload additional PDF’s that are sent with the Gift Certificate PDF. The other PDF are NOT customizable they are only information sheets that are sent to the customers email address with the Gift Certificate PDF.
The Gift Certificate number is the same as the VirtueMart Order number by default. At some point in the future we may want to allow the administrator of VirtueMart to specify some other numbering system.
There should be a text box that will allow the “thank you for your order” message to be modified on the closing screen in VirtueMart. This text box is needed to remind the customer to check there spam and junk mail folders, etc, etc. I do not know the limits of that customizable thank you message

The idea is make the module in a fashion that can be used as VirtueMart 1.5 releases new versions.
This module only needs to work with the Joomla 1.5 / VirtueMart 1.5 series.
Creating the PDF used for the Gift Certificate is outside the scope of this project. It is assumed at this point the store administrator will create a PDF with the custom fields that match the custom attribute list. However we need to specify to the store administrator the field name for the Gift Certificate Number.
There WILL BE multiple Gift Certificate products in the VirtueMart store so that means we need to check to make sure PDF’s uploaded are uniquely named. Since the product is created first we could prefix the PDF name with the SKU of the product perhaps.

Part One
A joomla Fansite with non-english content (database) must be imported in a Joomla Fansite with English Content (database).
The content (DB) must be translate before imported using an online translation tool (babelfish, google etc.) and then imported in the English Fan Site. Some content include images, These images must be resized and imported with the content (these images are on our server).
The fan site (f.e. Bradpitt.com) needs an automated content crawler which looks on the net or f.e. (selected sites, hollywood.com, yahoonews.com etc.). This is Part Two of the job.

I Need some one to build a component, like “performs” where administrator can create applications on the fly, and set the rules for uploading attachments and required fields.
The forms output must bind to joomla database and can be sent via email at the latest stage of submition.
Each user has to register at the front side, then will have a profile page where he can change any personal information as much as he want and not limited by time,
The registred user cannot apply to more then one application of his choice, The filling of an application might take long time, thats why users may save their incompleted application as “draft application”, and cannot change the application status to ready unless all required fields and attached documents are set correctly, at this phase, “application Ready” the user can still access his application and modify it as much as he want, but when he decide to submit his final work and change the status of his application to:“applicantion sent”, then he can only view his profile page and his submitted application with the unique number for the application generated by the system.
The administrator will fix a date and alert all subscribers of the ending date to finish all their work and submit it, after this date no one can change the status of his application or modify it.
When the nomination period is over, the administrator must be capable of archiving the old work sent by users (even the ones incompleted and in draft) and keep them on the server for his own use only.
Summary:
- Administrator must have a component to build application forms, contact and profile pages on the fly (like performs)..
- Users must register and have a profile page, that can change it as they want.
- Registred users may apply to one of the application forms built by the administrator.
- The application forms must have 3 phases status :
* Status one : DRAFT ( Work not completed, some missing fields and document can be filled later)
* Status Two: READY (Work Completed all fields and attachments are filled correctly, but the user can still do some modifications)
* Status Three: SUBMITTED WORK (Work Completed all fields and attachments are filled correctly, the user cannot modify anything, only his profile page).
At a specific date fixed by the administrator, no one can do any modification to his application and cannot change its status neitheir his profile, he can only review his work.
Each applicant must have a unique user ID number.
The administrator can archive all applicant and user database and keep the result for his own use.
PS: any suggestion of optimizing this project is welcomed.
Note: after I save it in draft I discover that the project I have in mind is close to the one used here by Joomlancers combined with performs.

we need 2-3 extensions (careers, news , registration) developed for our joomla 1.5x project.
Please find the attached specification document (Please go through the document before bidding) and come out with a approach document which should address the following points
1. In careers, how PHP pages going to call the SQL Server db, which DB driver will be used, and how will we configure that? When the user clicks on the Apply button, which page gets called and how are we going to send the mails to the administrator? In PHP, using a SMTP server (remember celllabs has a corporate exchange mail server we need to use, so we need to use the SMTP server on that machine) is not that straightforward, pls look into this.
2. In news module, how are we going to write the code which downloads article title, description, and the URL and add to the joomla article manager? How are you going to archive/limit the search to only 3 months from current date whenever user searches?
3. In registration process, how is the mail going to contain accept and reject links, which pages will they call and how they will connect to joomla to actually approve/reject the user?

1. Left side menu links still show-up on the 'User Profile' and 'Contact Administrator' pages. / Ideally we would like to see the left column removed entirely (i.e also get rid of the “Hello, USER” message. But the main thing is to get rid of the menu links.
2. There is a gap between the Documents link and the other links in the menu, please adjust it so that all of the links are centered, or at least have equal space between them.

3. Please Remove the editor selection pull-down.
4. A message added to the user profile section to contact the administrator for other changes (e.g. change of last name) via the “Contact Administrator” page.
